Bailey & Glasser LLP Founder Ben Bailey Has Been Appointed to Executive Committee of Public Justice

Bailey & Glasser LLP Founder Ben Bailey has been appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of Public Justice. Bailey is a longtime member of the organization and has served on the Board of Directors since 2010. Founded in 1982, Public Justice pursues high impact lawsuits to combat social and economic injustice, protect the Earth’s sustainability, and challenge predatory corporate conduct and government abuses. The organization focuses on ensuring that all people, regardless of economic background, have equal opportunities in the judicial system. From forcing polluters to clean up their act to standing with courageous young people against bullying and harassment, Public Justice takes the cases that makes an impact and changes lives of ordinary people.

“I’m honored to have been selected to serve on the Executive Committee of Public Justice,” Bailey said. “This is really important work for the legal profession and the judicial system. I look forward to pulling the oars of Public Justice with all of my fellow committee members.”

Ben Bailey founded Bailey & Glasser with Brian Glasser in 1999. Prior to that, he spent two years as a clerk to the Honorable John T. Copenhaver, Jr., two years as a federal prosecutor, four years as Counsel to the Governor of West Virginia and 10 years as a litigation partner at a large Charleston, West Virginia, law firm. Bailey plays a leading role in many of Bailey & Glasser’s most challenging cases. He has represented the State of West Virginia in Washington, DC, in the state’s challenge to US EPA’s most recent efforts to restrict mountaintop mining in Appalachia. He has also handled complicated criminal defense cases and tackled appellate work for both plaintiffs and defendants.
