Overview
Timothy Leckenby is a member of our nationwide Asbestos and Lung Disease legal team, focusing his practice on representing individuals who have contracted mesothelioma, asbestosis, and other lung diseases caused by exposure to asbestos.
Asbestos exposure is the largest cause of occupational cancers in the country, and a significant cause of other diseases and disabilities. Workers exposed to asbestos include teachers, auto mechanics, military personnel, pipefitters, railroad employees, and many others. As a member of Bailey Glasser’s Asbestos and Lung Disease practice, Tim is dedicated to obtaining justice on behalf of individuals – and their families – who have been impacted by this known carcinogen.
The most common asbestos-related diseases include:
- Mesothelioma of the Lung
- Mesothelioma of the Stomach
- Testicular Mesothelioma
- Lung Cancer
- Asbestosis
- Pleural Plaques
Asbestos-related disease can develop in other parts of the body as well. Research has confirmed that asbestos is known to cause the following cancers, and this list is not exhaustive:
- Colon Cancer
- Esophageal Cancer
- Laryngeal Cancer
- Stomach Cancer
- Throat Cancer
Tim is dedicated to obtaining justice on behalf of individuals – and their families – who have been impacted by this known carcinogen.
Tim’s prior litigation experience includes contract, personal injury, professional negligence, e-discovery, class actions and multidistrict litigation, unfair trade practices, and federal declaratory judgment actions.
From a young age, Tim always wanted to be a lawyer. He is a graduate of Capital University Law School where he participated in the General Litigation clinic, interned with a judge at the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, and was a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Health Law.
Tim is a graduate of Arizona State University, with a concentration on Political Thought & Leadership and International Studies.
Tim is an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
