Bailey Glasser Welcomes Laura Babiak to the ERISA Practice
Charleston, WV, October 12, 2020 – The national law firm Bailey Glasser LLP has hired Laura Babiak as an associate in its Charleston, WV office. Laura focuses her legal practice on complex pension, 401(k) plan, and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) matters related to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
“We are thrilled to have Laura onboard with us at Bailey Glasser,” said Gregory Y. Porter, a Washington, DC-based partner who heads the firm’s ERISA practice group. “Laura is a dynamic young lawyer who brings an extraordinary amount of experience and knowledge to the firm. We will put her experience to good use by fighting to hold companies accountable for violating the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.”
Laura had previously worked as a summer associate with Bailey Glasser in 2018. She was as a student clinician while attending West Virginia University College of Law’s United States Supreme Court Clinic, representing clients on appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the US Supreme Court. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked in the US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Bailey Glasser’s ERISA practice represents workers and retirees across the country seeking to protect their rights to prudently managed retirement plans, including 401(k)s, 403(b)s, pensions and ESOPs.
