Bailey Glasser Welcomes Star Summer Associates
Bailey Glasser is pleased to welcome as summer associates Denali Hedrick and Isabella Anderson, both exceptional third-year law students at West Virginia University.
Denali Hedrick worked last summer in the firm’s Consumer Practice Group. She has since continued to excel in that area by assisting with an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of the United States and rising to the role of President of the Consumer Law Student Group. She was also accepted into both the Supreme Court and General Litigation clinics, and will continue as a member of the Lugar Trial Association next year.
Meanwhile, Isabella received the Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Award for International Law. She is a lead researcher for an article on Brexit soon to be published in the University of Bologna Law Review and was named Executive Editor for Volume 123 of the West Virginia Law Review, which will showcase her own Student Note. Next year, Isabella will work in the Supreme Court Clinic alongside Denali, and will serve as Captain of the Jessup International Moot Court Team.
Bailey Glasser President John Barrett said: “Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Bailey Glasser is stronger than ever, and we continue to provide exceptional service to our clients and communities. We and our clients look forward to great work from Denali and Isabella, both of whom are strong leaders at the WVU College of Law.”
Sharon Iskra, a Charleston-based Bailey Glasser lawyer, will oversee and manage the summer program – a particular challenge as the firm’s 55+ lawyers and staff in twelve offices maintain compliance with social distancing guidelines and stay-at-home orders. In addition to coordinating the summer associates’ work assignments, Sharon has adapted the welcome and organized virtual extracurricular events.
