Bailey Glasser’s Nick Johnson to Speak at Energy & Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institute
Bailey Glasser partner Nick Johnson will speak at the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation’s 39th Annual Institute on June 19th in Nashville, TN. Nick’s session, Deals Gone Wrong in the Coal Industry, will focus on major commercial and environmental litigation involving “deals” – either purchase and sale agreements, credit or bond indentures, coal sales contracts, coal leases, and environmental permits. The presentation will look at where the deal went wrong, what the key was to the litigation, and whether there was a way to have worded the deal or permit differently in anticipation of any potential dispute.
Nick is the Commercial and Environmental Litigation Practice Group Leader at Bailey Glasser. He handles complex commercial disputes, including litigation involving business-to-business sales of equity or assets, complex financial products, valuation, leases, product liability, and sales of goods. Additionally, Nick handles all aspects of environmental regulation for the coal industry, from permitting, to compliance, to enforcement actions.
