Ben Bailey Featured On The State Journal's Decision Makers to Discuss Volkswagen Litigation Proposed $15 Billion Settlement
Ben Bailey was featured on The State Journal's Decisions Makers to to discuss his role on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee for the multidistrict Volkswagen litigation over the company's diesel emissions cheating scandal, which was uncovered by researchers at West Virginia University.
Bailey discussed the importance of finding the right experts in cases like the Toyota Sudden Acceleration MDL. Bailey said when he first heard about the scandal, he went to the Center for Alternative Fuel Engines and Emissions at WVU and spoke with experts there and got them on board. “That’s one of the principle reasons I’m involved with the Volkswagen litigation case,” Bailey said.
He discussed the proposed $15 billion settlement for vehicles with 2-liter diesel engines, involving nearly 500,000 vehicles.
