Greg Porter, a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office, will be a speaker during the session ‘ESOP Transactions and Valuation Issues’ at the 14th National Forum on ERISA Litigation in Chicago on March 2nd. The session will cover:

- The DOL’s identification of key mistakes made during valuation
- ESOP private litigation and DOL priorities
- Preparing for and responding to DOL audits

- Responsibility sharing of ESOP trustee, appraiser and ESOP committee
Greg litigates complex pension, consumer, and investor class actions in federal and state courts all over the United States. Greg is best known for his work on retirement plan cases, including 401(k) plans, pension plans, and ESOPs. These cases involve conflicts of interest, investment mismanagement, excessive fees, and other financial misconduct and fraud. Lately, Greg has been focusing on excessive fees in 401(k) plans and ESOP valuations for privately held companies.
